Please note: Children under the age of 10 need a caregiver to remain in the library for the duration of the program. 

Let's start off right by reading 1 book to our littles every day before they enter Kindergarten! In just 4 years, one book a night will surpass 1000 books!! This initiative is to support literacy and the love of reading! 

How to join in on the fun: 

  1. Get ready. Pick up a tracking poster or print them from our website.
  2. Read & Track it. Colour in, or cross out for each book you read to your child.
  3. Every book counts. Even if your child wants to hear the same book again and again, you can count it each time. 
  4. Keep going. Can you surpass 1000 books? 
  5. Share your success. Tag us @northperthlib and use the hashtag #1000BooksB4K.

Come and create! We will have art supplies out for all to create with. This is a self-directed exploration of art.

Join us and Captain Corbin for this pirate and water-themed show! It will be interactive, it will be fun, and it will be a loot. 

Tickets available on June 10, at noon, at all branches

Must have a FREE ticket to enter. Show is targeted at children 5+. Must be seated for the duration of the hour long show.

In the busyness of family life, it can sometimes be hard to find the time and space to connect one on one with our children. 
Connection Corner is here to be that safe, cozy, and connective space where you can come with your child/children and be intentional with your time together.
Each month will be geared toward a theme and set up with related books, activities, games, and opportunities to have fun and connect. A joyful time to be present and playful.

  • Papercrafts- Make a 4x4 mini album

Pick up your piece during the week after the Ag Fair! Listowel Branch. Must fill out form to submit art! 

Phonics Storytime is here to bring even more fun into storytime. This program combines the playfulness of traditional Storytime with targeted phonics instruction, which will help to build essential skills in letter recognition and sound awareness.

Don't have time to tackle your reading challenge this week? No problem! This program counts towards your reading challenge too.
