Major Events... A Success!!

With two major events now wrapped, we can officially say they were a success! 

All three branches were hosts to our Celebrate and Connect event that including a visit from Pete the cat, scavenger hunts, storywalks, photo-ops, giveaways, free swag, and more. It pulled in over 400 people combined and patron feedback was glowing!! These events were in correspondence with it being Ontario Public Library Week- a week meant to honour public libraries and what they stand for. 

Up next was our Perth County Reads initiative where we hosted a series of programs in relation to the book Cold by Drew Hayden Taylor. To cap it off, award winning Drew Hayden Taylor came for an author talk. We had all book clubs read cold (over 5+ groups), had a community book club set allowing for faster and easier access to the novel, had close to 150 attend programs and engage in in-house contests, and again, have only positive patron feedback. 

Both events required extensive planning and both provided extensive (positive) feedback from our patrons. Stay tuned for 2025 events if you're sad you missed either big events!!
